Inter High School is a new type of school because
of its location on the internet, but has a simple aim to deliver
a quality education at a reasonable cost.
The school is currently
applying for registration with the Welsh Assembly Government.
The school will meet a set of "Standards" under
the regulations of the Education Act 2002. The inspection agency,
Estyn, will regularily inspect the school.
The school is new and
lessons will commence in September 2005 with pupils receiving
real time lessons over the internet.
Teachers and students work
from home by logging on to a virtual classroom on the internet
to receive real time lessons for 2/3 hours in the morning. Work
is set for the rest of the day to be done at the convenience of
students.
The curriculum delivered is based on an English/ Welsh
secondary school
for pupils aged 11 - 17; (years 7 - 11). In the final year pupils are entered
for GCSE examinations enabling them to continue into further education or employment.
Inter
High is available to any pupil who does not wish to or cannot attend a traditional
secondary school.
