InterHigh Case Studies
I joined Interhigh when I was 12, after my family relocated to the Middle East. I tried out a different online school before Interhigh (however I found that school difficult to follow because they didn’t use whiteboards or microphones). The lessons at Interhigh are very flexible, I sometimes had to miss lessons because of Bahrain’s weekends but my teachers weren’t at all annoyed. They simply sent me the homework and the PowerPoint lesson via e-mail and I felt I didn’t miss out on anything. I would definitely recommend Interhigh to any ex-pats who find attending local school too difficult. The lessons at Interhigh were understandable and I really did learn a lot! French was always very clear because you could actually hear the teacher via the microphone instead of always using text
I never felt I was missing out on a social life either. Interhigh was very understandable that students need to interact as well as study. One of my fondest memories was of Interhigh Talent Show 2008, students sang, wrote poems, and showed videos, they even sent everyone an Interhigh badge through the post, which I still have today! Interhigh also had a Common Room where students would meet up every Friday after school and just have fun. Not only did Interhigh have fun events, they also set up a website called ‘MyInterhigh’ it’s a lot like my MySpace, except for Interhigh students.
After a year at Interhigh, my family had to relocate to America. My time at Interhigh was very enjoyable, I wish I was still there but because of time difference in America, I would have to wake up at 3am! I did however attend the Interhigh weekend last month where I got to meet everyone at Interhigh and made a lot of new friends, it was so interesting to meet all the teachers and students I can’t wait for the next Interhigh Weekend! I also hope to return to Interhigh in the future, because it’s the best school ever!
